Job Description
We are supporting a leading semi-government FMCG organization in Abu Dhabi in their search for a highly strategic and experienced Head of HR to lead the full spectrum of human resources functions and drive organizational excellence across all business units. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping the HR strategy, elevating capabilities, and ensuring the delivery of a high-performance, people-centric culture.
The Head of HR will oversee HR strategy, talent acquisition, organization development, performance management, compensation, Emiratization initiatives, employee engagement, learning & development, and HR operations. The successful candidate must have strong experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector, along with the ability to influence senior leadership and align HR initiatives with large-scale business objectives.
Role Overview:
The Head of HR will oversee HR strategy, talent acquisition, organization development, performance management, compensation, Emiratization initiatives, employee engagement, learning & development, and HR operations. The successful candidate must have strong experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector, along with the ability to influence senior leadership and align HR initiatives with large-scale business objectives.Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s long-term business goals.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Lead HR transformation initiatives across talent, structure, systems, and culture.
- Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment strategies for operational, commercial, technical, and leadership roles.
- Ensure strong employer branding, EVP positioning, and a seamless onboarding experience.
- Establish advanced talent pipelines for critical and high-demand functions.
Performance Management & Total Rewards
- Lead performance management frameworks, KPIs, and performance-based incentives.
- Oversee compensation & benefits benchmarking and ensure internal equity.
- Promote a high-performance culture centered on accountability and development.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with UAE labor law and semi-government requirements.
- Drive positive employee relations, grievance management, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, audit, and governance standards.
Learning, Development & Capability Building
- Design and lead capability development programs to empower employees and enhance organizational performance.
- Oversee leadership development, technical upskilling, and career progression frameworks.
- Partner with internal departments to build a learning culture across the company.
Emiratization & National Workforce Development
- Strengthen UAE National attraction, development, and retention programs.
- Ensure compliance with Emiratization targets and government regulations.
- Build career pathways and succession plans for Emirati talent.
HR Operations & Digital Transformation
- Lead HR operations including HRIS, payroll, employee data management, and process excellence.
- Introduce HR automation and digital solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Oversee HR analytics dashboards and insights for decision-making.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPD, SHRM) preferred.
- 12–18 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor law, semi-government practices, and HR governance.
- Proven success in leading HR strategy, organizational development, and large-scale transformation.
- Strong experience with Emiratization programs, government relations, and HR compliance.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing large and diverse workforces including blue-collar and operational staff.
- Must be based in the UAE and available for in-person leadership engagement.
